## Turn a method on

A method shows on a form when it's on in two places:

1. **Payment Page > Payment Gateways**: tick it in the Stripe payment methods table. This makes it available to every form.
2. The form's **Payment Methods** section: switch it on for that form.

Stripe has the final say: a method also has to be turned on and available for your account in your [Stripe payment method settings](https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payment_methods). Buyers pick a method from the tabs on the form.

## At a glance

| Method | Currency | Recurring prices | Plan |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Credit Cards | Any your account supports | Yes | Free and Pro |
| ACH Direct Debit | USD | Yes | Pro |
| SEPA Direct Debit | EUR | Yes | Free and Pro |
| Apple Pay | Any your account supports | Yes | Free and Pro |
| Google Pay | Any your account supports | Yes | Free and Pro |
| Alipay | Set by Stripe | No, one-time only | Free and Pro |
| WeChat Pay | Set by Stripe | No, one-time only | Free and Pro |

ACH takes USD prices and SEPA takes EUR prices only. If a buyer chooses one of them with a price in another currency, the form stops them at payment with "The selected payment method does not support this currency." Turn these methods on only for forms with prices in their currency. In the same way, Alipay and WeChat Pay can't pay a recurring price.

## Credit Cards

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB. The card fields are Stripe's own secure fields, so card numbers never touch your site. When a bank asks for 3D Secure, Stripe shows the check and the payment continues once the buyer passes it.

## ACH Direct Debit (Pro)

US bank payments in USD. The buyer connects their bank through Stripe Financial Connections and accepts the debit authorization shown on the form.

ACH payments take a few business days to clear. The payment shows as processing until Stripe confirms it, and your after-payment emails and HTTP request run when it succeeds. If you used ACH with an older bank-connection setup, check Stripe's ACH migration guidance before reusing saved bank details.

## SEPA Direct Debit

Euro bank payments from the SEPA countries, for prices in EUR. The buyer enters their IBAN and accepts the mandate shown on the form.

Like ACH, SEPA payments take a few business days to clear, and your after-payment actions run when Stripe confirms the payment.

## Apple Pay and Google Pay

The wallet button appears only when the buyer's browser and device can pay with that wallet, so many buyers see one or neither. Both need your site on HTTPS.

Apple Pay also needs your domain registered with Stripe. Payment Page serves Apple's domain file at `/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association`. Add your domain under **Manage in Stripe** in the Apple Pay row of the payment methods table. Once Stripe has it, the row shows **Apple Domain Verified** for that mode.

## Alipay and WeChat Pay

For buyers who pay with Alipay or WeChat Pay, mostly in China. Alipay sends the buyer to Alipay to approve the payment and brings them back. WeChat Pay shows a QR code to scan with the WeChat app. Both are for one-time prices only.

## Webhook

Every method reports its final result to your site through the Stripe webhook. Payment Page sets it up when you connect Stripe. See [Stripe Webhook](/payment-gateways/stripe/stripe-webhook-configuration/).
